Meghan Markle to start career as DJ post Megxit, will live stream sets from her Malibu beach house
Meghan Markle will reportedly soon start her career as a DJ after getting settled in her new house in California with her husband, Prince Harry, and son, Archie.
Since the 38-year-old Duchess of Sussex and her husband, Harry, are no longer officially a part of the royal family, they will now be searching for new ways to earn their living without having to depend on taxpayer's money — something that they always wanted to do since announcing the desire to quit the firm back in January this year. A source told Mixmag that Meghan had been honing her skills as a selector ever since the Megxit announcement.
“Genre means nothing to Meghan: she’ll blend ‘Blue Monday’ into ‘RIP Groove’ without breaking a sweat. This is 2020 after all,” a source told Mixmag.
Apparently, she became interested in the profession after the couple visited Reprezent Radio in Brixton in 2018. The insider further reported that she will DJ under the alias "Meghan Merkle" as a "tribute to the station as well as a reflection of her high octane DJ sets." To kick off her brand new career, she will announce a series of live streams later this month.
The move to a house in Los Angeles seemed to have facilitated her plan to start her career as a DJ. “The Malibu beach house suits her sound amazingly,” the source said. “She’s been vibing off a lot of summery house anthems recently and her record collection is sounding beautiful on her custom Klipsch system.”
The tipster concluded by saying that Buckingham officials were not so keen on the idea of Meghan's plan to start a career in music. Nevertheless, since there is no official confirmation on this report and there are a bunch of rumors floating around, the current report has to be taken with a grain of salt.
If Meghan does end up pursuing a career in music, she will have her hands full when it comes to her professional life, as she already has a number of other projects lined up.
As previously reported by us, the former 'Suits' actress was interested in writing another cookbook. The first one that she wrote in 2018 was called 'Together: Our Community Cookbook'. In addition to this, Meghan was also looking to relaunch her former lifestyle blog, The Tig, which she was forced to close down after she married Prince Harry and became a member of the British monarchy.
The duchess is also interested in potentially developing a kitchenware line. And apart from all these, as well as her Hollywood career, that sources have claimed that she is keen on reviving, Harry and Meghan will continue their philanthropic endeavors. “Meghan has heaps of projects in the works,” the source says.
The couple, with their soon-to-be one-year-old son, Archie has currently hunkered down in a "secluded compound" in Los Angeles, after making the move from their previous home in Vancouver Island, Canada, amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic across the globe. The move also made a lot of sense since California is Meghan's homeland and her mother, Doria Ragland, lives there, who will be a big help when it comes to taking care of Archie.
